About The Piedmont Group Insurance Solutions

Founded in 1999, The Piedmont Group’s sole purpose is to provide insurance programs with tailored coverages, for less premium than our competitors, while providing best-in-class customer service to business owners, farm owners, and the residents in the states of which it serves. While these areas are a central focus for The Piedmont Group, certain agents and staff members have licenses throughout other parts of the country as well.

We specialize in, but are not limited to, traditional agriculture, equine, wholesale growers, contractors, arborists, and wineries/vineyards. We pride ourselves in our ability to customize each clients’ insurance program to meet the unique needs of their business or family. We serve companies and individuals in Maryland, D.C., Virginia, and Pennsylvania. As well as other states across the country.

The Piedmont Group has grown from two insurance agents working primarily in the field to a multi-line insurance provider with multiple agents and specialists to assist a wide range of clients. Our insurance agents and staff are fully licensed in both Property & Casualty and Life & Health, to ensure the best service possible.

Andy Bennett - Managing Partner

Andy BennettManaging Partner

The word insurance is not typically associated with positivity and optimism, usually, because something negative must happen for insurance to be put into action.  Andy seeks to change the way folks think and feel about insurance.  Andy is strong on mindset and outlook, and with that comes his firm belief that he is here to educate and advise entrepreneurs who are willing to work with him and the folks at TPG.  Andy feels a strong responsibility to train, educate and advise agents, staff, and clientele on the intricacies of insurance, risk management, and planning.  This is done through candid conversations, where listening is critical.  The goal is to always have folks come away with a new sense of confidence and clarity regarding their insurance and risk management planning. Andy has his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) focused in Business Administration and Management, from West Virginia University. Andy is married to his wife Allie and together they have two boys, Henry, and Jack. They live on their working sod farm, Bullfrog Sod, that Allie manages daily, with the help or her mom and dad. Some of Andy’s other pursuits are golf, performing negotiation techniques with his boys, and studying entrepreneurialism.
